She's BAA-aack!

So, after a very long "brief" hiatus, I've decided that, even though my website is not yet retooled and rennovated and updated as I wished, I have to get back into the blogging habit.

I'm still having problems with downloading new images to the site because the jpg situation hasn't been resolved. I'm thinking the only resolution will be the purchase of a scanner, which will require a new computer which will require... a lot more money than I have.

Additionally, I broke my digital camera last week during a night of rather riotous merriment. The camera was out, the camera fell down, the camera died. It was a very old digital camera (1.8) which had been generously given to me by my good friend MaryAnn Johanson when she moved on to a much better Olympus. But it did the trick and now I also have to think about buying a new digital camera. I have a couple of film cameras to take photos of my artwork but without the scanner, I still can't download pictures... So, you see where I'm going with this.

However, I will try and use up the pictures I do have downloaded and on the computer. And I will try and do a few news stories or reviews of artworks or shows as I find them, or as they interest me.

So, I'm back, but it may take a while to get up to full speed. There's a lot going on right now.

yes, the poor camera... it was a digital antique but perfectly useful.

about the photo, thanks. a good friend of mine, David Speranza, photographer and screenwriter(www.kinotek.com) took it a few years ago. it's almost time for a new one.
