Cemetery Photos!
John Scalzi, author and blogger, has a blog called "By the Way" wherein he gives a weekly photo shoot "assignment" to his readers. I generally don't partipate, because (1) I'm not a member of AOL and (2) they usually aren't something that interests me or is possible for me to do easily.
Today's assignment, however, does interest me and is possible. It's "Take a photo in your local cemetery." I love cemeteries and, happily, actually live across the street from Woodlawn Cemetery. Woodlawn is about 150 years old, full of dead celebrities and history makers, and beautiful monuments, some of which are in disrepair that can make for interesting shots.

Pale Hands I Love, Beside the Shalimar
I've posted this picture before, but this gives me an opportunity to hope that a wider audience will see it. Besides, I really like it.
And just for good measure, I've added an "arty" shot taken in a foreign cemetery:

Only the Flowers Remember
I took this in a little cemetery at the end of Prince's Street, Edinburgh, Scotland. The stone had been there so long, that all the words had been eaten away, but the pretty row of flowers planted there made it seem not so sad or terrible.
I have prints of both photos for sale. They are 8x10 matted $12.00 each.
I have lots of other cemetery photos, local and foreign, but until I solve my scanner problems, it may be awhile before I can get them up.
Thanks, John.

Hi there,
I just noticed your post about where all the art bloggers seem to go.
The tooth fairy blog has stopped posting mainly because the film is finished!
This is my problem with production blogs for things like short films - when the film's done, so is the blog!
Anyways, the film's here if you wanted to see it. Hope it meets expectations...
