Excuses, Excuses...
I haven't been keeping up with my postings. I know. No Sketch of the Week, Local Art Fridays... the Occasional Cat Blogging... no new artworks... no celebration of the First Year of Blogging as promised.
But I have a really good excuse. Well, a fairly good excuse.. Well... an excuse, anyway.
I have had Company. Lots of Company. My parents, my sister Kirsty, my sister Linda and her two girls. Since June 14, I have had a steady stream of visiting relatives.
Now, since my family deserted me many years ago to live in the wilds of southern Tennessee, I have these occasional descents of siblings and their progeny and parental units. Company has even kept me from fully expressing my Doctor Who obsession. And Company will keep me from starting the new Harry Potter book at 00:05 a.m. on Saturday July 21st and reading straight through the weekend, which had been my original plan for this coming weekend.
I welcome the Company. I love them. I even need them. But they consume a lot of time and energy.
Added to my problems with scanners, printers and downloading photographs, I just haven't had a lot of time to do all the updating to this blog I should have been doing. But then, I haven't been doing much artwork either. Well, very little. Actually, none. I haven't done any writing either.
Next Monday the last of them leave me and the next visit I will get with any of them is perhaps later this year around holiday time, or maybe not until next year if certain secret plans that are underway come to pass.
On July 28th, I have a scheduled visit to the King Tut exhibit in the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. I shall be reporting on that of course.
Be patient. Have a good summer. I'm hoping that around August 1st, I'll have new sketches, new photos, have solved my scanner-posting problems, and be updating regularly, with some upgrades, improvements and new features.
