Woodlawn Project #4: An English Cottage?
This lovely old house is one of my favorites. I always say that if I ever got real money, the kind where you use it to invest in real estate, this is one of at least two houses in Woodlawn I'd buy. It always reminds me of an English cottage, or an old Dutch country house.[pP]>hack k500i java

There are a lot of interesting details to this house, such as this wrought iron gate:[pP]>hack k500i java

The house is in need of a lot of repair and the yard is overgrown and rather unhappy looking, but it could be beautiful. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely that the current owners either have the money or the ability to fix it up. Since it is on a corner lot, it is very likely that within the next few years, this is what we'll wind up with:[pP]>hack k500i java

I agree, this is a lovely house. I have lived on the same street as this house for 56 years and the garden never looked good which is a shame. What one could do with all that space! They used to have a chestnut tree on the 236th side as well as 3 blossom trees which bloomed one after another in the spring. The new owners say the bank owns the house at this point! Let's hope a developer never gets their hands on this corner. The newer houses are so ugly and low-class looking. Keep up the good work.[pP]>hack k500i java

and it's sad that the vines strangled that nice little red maple in the front too. it sort of reminds me of something out of Sleeping Beauty with all the brambles and vines obscuring the house. and those ugly, new houses are one of my real pet peeves... [pP]>hack k500i java
