Tartan Week: Three Scottish Photos
In honor of Tartan Week, I am re-posting three of my photographs from Scotland:
This first is from a graveyard in Edinburgh, at the end of Princes' Street:

Names and dates on a lot of the tombstones have worn off, partly due to age, and partly due to the effects of the smoke and dirt that Edinburgh used to be famous for -- earning it the nickname of "Auld Reekie."
This is a view of Edinburgh Castle from the Princes' Street Gardens:

A thick cloud formation came up over the fountain just as I snapped the picture.
And this is a photo of a pookah:

While strolling through the beautiful Scottish countryside, MaryAnn Johanson and I came across a beautiful field and farm. And then, out from behind a bush popped the Pookah. He watched us, quite curiously, for a few minutes, then disappeared again.
All of the photos above are available as prints $15, matted.
Tartan Week, by the way, is actually turning into Tartan Two Weeks. Which is fine by me. The Tartan Day Parade is next Saturday and I plan on posting more Scottish pictures before then. In the meanwhile, enjoy all things Scottish!
