My family has always had a million animals around the house. Currently, I believe my parents have four dogs in the house, two dogs outside, more birds of more varieties than I can keep track of, and one inside cat. It's my father's cat and it's totally spoiled and its name is Cheeky Bugger:

"Cheeky" is a Britishism, also used by the Scots and the Irish, to mean a person -- or creature -- who is impudent and fresh, but cute as can be and without any malicious intent. CB has this personality in spades. Upon her introduction to the house, when she fit into the palm of my sister's hand, she immediately let the dogs know who was in charge.

This is CB and Bridget, my mother's dog. CB has taken over Bridget's bed, which is alright because Bridget is convinced that the cat was brought home for her as a personal companion anyway.
