Local Art Fridays: Calder Too
Alexander Calder was nothing if not prolific.
This Calder construction is on the corner of 57th Street and Madison Avenue, right outside the IBM buidling, which makes two major Calder pieces within just two blocks on either side of my office building. In his later years, Calder did a lot of these large, public art constructions.
