Sketch of the Week 17: The Man of Double Deed

SOTW the man of double deed.jpg

I've always loved animated films and have wanted to do a short one myself based on a series of Irish and Scottish children's street rhymes. This is a sketch I did of the "Man of Double Deed." Part of the rhyme goes:

There was a man of Double Deed
Who sowed his garden full of seed
And when the seed began to grow
'twas like a garden full of snow

The rest of the rhyme has similar imagery and then, as children's rhymes are wont to do, gets a bit gruesome. The little film is still in my head, with visions of winning an Oscar for Animated Short.
