I thought I might continue with some subway sketches for a while. I rarely date sketches -- some of the ones in that small notebook are old and some are new. I know last week's was a fairly recent one. This one:

is from some time ago. This is one of the many women -- usually South American and always looking weary -- who went through the subways selling batteries, Crazy Glue and other small sundry items for one dollar. They did a good business in batteries -- although I have started wondering if i-pods have been putting them out of business. I noticed recently I haven't seen these woman on the train in a while.
