Well, I thought I was kind of convention-ed out and sort of bummed because of not selling anything. But MaryAnn got invited to be a panelist/guest at PhilCon 2006, so it looks like I'm loading the cannon again.

I will be in the PhilCon 2006 Art Show, in the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel, conveniently enough located in Philadelphia. The convention is from November 17th to 19th. MaryAnn Johanson will of course be talking about movies and other geeky subjects, and selling her book, The Totally Geeky Guide to the Princess Bride.

Years ago, when we first started hitting the convention circuit, PhilCon was one of our favorites. It was the first one we went to where we were invited to a pros party by our friend from Tor Books, Claire Eddy. It was the first one where I entered the art show, and the first one where I sold something. It was on a good weekend -- the weekend before Thanksgiving. Then, due to logistical and hotel problems, they changed it to the second weekend in December. That was much too close to Christmas and usually fell on the weekend of my annual Lucia's Day/Old Winter Solstice party. So we stopped going.

But now it's back on the weekend before Thanksgiving and we're off to Philadelphia to be shot out of cannons one more time this year.
