Title: The Guardian of Israel
More Judaica:

Date Created: 1982/5743
Medium: Mixed media: paint, gouache and felt on illustration board
Dimensions: 8x10 (unmatted/unframed)
Status: For Sale $25
COMMENTS: This piece, meant to have a very "folk art" feel, is based around one of the prayers of the High Holy Days (Rosh haShanah to Yom Kippur). Jews are encouraged to pray in the direction of Jerusalem, so this item is meant to go on the eastern wall of the home to denote that direction. This is one of a series of many different Judaica pieces I did for my late friends Ruth and Reuben Feierman. Upon Ruth's death, almost all the items of Judaica I created for them came back to me.
