COMMENTS: Another in my series of paintings exploring my feelings about NewGrange. The true purpose of NewGrange may have been part astronomical observatory, part calendar, part temple. It has entered into Irish mythology as a sídhe or, fairy, mounds. It was also believed to be the home of the Dagda – the mythic original inhabitants of Ireland. Perhaps its true purpose will only be understood when we take to the stars
