TITLE: Convention Sketches Part One
Lest you think I just spend all my time at conventions partying, drinking, eating and flirting outrageously, I offer the following series of sketches that I made while at various conventions. I usually make them while sitting at a panel, listening to a lot of fellow geeks go on (and sometimes on and on and on...) about the minutia of their favorite book, movie, tv show, special effects designer... Sometimes I make them while sitting in the con suite (a sort of meeting place with lots of chocolate and other treats) -- one sees a lot of interesting people come and go in there. There are some I use as a study for a full-sized painting, other times they're just for fun or a memento of the convention. At the last WorldCon I attended (Boston, 2004), I actually displayed them, framed in groups by year.

Date Created: Uhmmmm. Not sure. 2002 or 2003 possibly.
Medium: Pen and Ink on Convention Program
Dimensions: The framed image is 4x6.
Status: Prints For Sale $5
Comments: I did, in fact make this sketch into a larger painting -- which, sadly, did not come out as I had hoped. I've cut the painting up and plan to do something with the pieces eventually. So far, I've displayed some, gave some of them away as prizes at the party I threw at World Con 2004, and offered them for sale at very low prices. Not sure what I'm going to do with them this year. I do have another party coming up.
