COMMENTS: As I have noted, I am interested in reworking old themes and symbols. This pastel painting of the triple goddess was based on a carving. The colors red, white and black are associated with the triple goddess, as are the phases of the moon (new, full, old). I tried to strip the image down to bare elements; just whatever lines were needed to create the image and to give the background a simple, stone-like feel.
