I've been wanting to do a graphic piece which illustrates the poem. This is a water color/gouache study for the figure of the woman in the poem. The final work is going in a very different direction, but I liked the sort of watery-mermaid effect in this picture.

I am using this painting as a source for a research paper I am currently doing for English. I am a senior and am doing a paper on W.B. Yeats and more specifically this poem. I would like any info. on this painting regarding the artist?background info. Anything will help.
