TITLE: Cave Dancing

DATE CREATED: February 2006
COMMENTS: Another one of the experiments with the transparent acrylics on cold press water color paper. I used a lot of wet-on-wet techniques here and the paper got very rough, but I like the result. I love so-called "primitive" art -- ancient images that pop up in nearly every culture. Men, women, hands, spirals and lines. Whenever I'm experimenting, I tend to use those images. This painting seemed complete as it was, and someone must have agreed since I sold it at its second showing, which was at I-Con, a huge science fiction convention held each year on the grounds of Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY.
DIMENSIONS: 6" x 6" (unframed) 8" x 8" (framed)
STATUS: SOLD at I-Con, March 2006
