Why this site about art? Well, first -- and most obviously -- I want to promote my artwork and get it out there to be seen by as many people as possible. Secondly, I want to sell as much of my art as people are willing to buy. And, thirdly, I want a site where I can post information about the art and artists who interest me.

When I speak of "Art," I don't mean just what is exhibited at museums, or what you see in books, or what an art critic decides is important. I mean, the whole wide world of art and artists out there. The ones who rarely get the recognition, discussion or exposure they should. I meet interesting artists all the time. Some of them are at the science fiction or comic book conventions I attend during the year. Some of them are selling their art on street corners, or at sidewalk fairs. Some of them are on the subway just sketching to pass the time. There are artists who are friends, strangers, acquaintances and relatives. Among other ambitions, I plan to post interviews with some of them and to display samples of their work on this site.

Like art itself, this site will be constantly changing, evolving and progressing. I want to hear your comments and suggestions. Tell me what sort of things you want to see, hear and to discuss.

As I begin this site, I must give a huge thanks to MaryAnn Johanson (www.flickfilosopher.com and www.geekphilosophy.com), who is my webmaster, critic, food taster, and best friend. She knows when to support me and when to pull the net away. Without her, I wouldn't have dared to take this leap into cyberspace.
